Chery Automobile has released photos of the production version of its new executive sedan Fulwin A9. This model was first shown in the fall of 2024, but it has not yet gone on sale even in the brand’s native China.
The new images show the A9 in all its detail. The car has a three-volume silhouette with a shortened rear end and an extended “cabin”. This solution maximizes the space in the cabin for passengers.
The body panels are deliberately minimalistic in shape, the front part is enlivened only by two longitudinal stampings on the hood and a wide radiator grille in the bumper. On the front edge of the roof, you can see a small protrusion, under which the laser radar (lidar) of the semi-autopilot system is hidden. In the cabin, there is a huge 15.6-inch tablet display of the media system, a premium audio system with 23 speakers, an intelligent air aromatization system and an active noise reduction function. The basic equipment will include an “automatic parking” and a system of all-round video cameras.
The Fulwin A9 will be equipped with a “plug-in hybrid” powertrain. The design uses a 1.5 turbo petrol engine (143 hp, 220 Nm), an electric motor (204 hp, 310 Nm), a single-stage gearbox, and a traction battery. The system can operate in parallel or sequential mode. The range on pure electric traction is 200 km, the full range (charged battery + filled tank) is 1,500 km.
The car has independent suspensions, with a five-link design at the rear. Front- or all-wheel drive versions will be offered (the car in the photo has an AWD badge on the front door).
Sales of Chery Fulwin A9 in China will start in the coming weeks.
